Well my major round of summer costuming is nearing its end. MechaCon in NOLA starts on Friday, and that unfortunately is the extent of convention going for me this year. I would love to attend Dragon*Con or Celebration V, but they are just not in the budget. So I will spend my time working to better my career and working on making more costumes as I have the opportunity.
In que for the weekend’s events: Jeane from Suikoden, JooDee from Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Mara Jade from By the Emperor’s Hand comic (Star Wars… yay!). JooDee and Mara are in a “completed” state, while Jeane will be debuted missing a couple crucial items, namely the wig and staff. I will likely revisit these costumes in a few months, but after the weekend, I have plenty of other projects to get my little hands on. Not the least of which is work for my actual job.
